Experience the breathtaking beauty of a Tasmanian sunset with 'Snowy Mountain Sunset,' part of Van Dieman's Tasmania collection. This ink is inspired by the stunning interplay of colors at sunset, viewed from the snow-capped peaks and icy plateaus of Tasmania's iconic mountains, including Cradle Mountain, Mount Wellington, and our favorite Launceston ski spot, Ben Lomond.

Snowy Mountain Sunset is a soft pinky mauve ink, reminiscent of the delicate hues of a twilight sky. It offers a unique multi-tonal shading effect, transitioning from a soft grey to a deeper mauve, with blue accents adding depth and complexity. A dusky pink shimmer completes the effect, capturing the scattered light of the setting sun reflecting off the snowy mountain peaks.

This shimmering, multi-tonal ink is suitable for dip pens, brushwork, and all fountain pens that can be easily disassembled for cleaning. For the best experience, pair it with a medium or broad nib that can truly bring out its shading and shimmer. As this is a light saturation ink with particulate matter, we recommend gently turning the bottle to distribute the particles before use, as shaking can incorporate air bubbles that may clog the pen feed. Regular maintenance, including frequent flushing, is recommended when using this ink.

Let Snowy Mountain Sunset transport you to the serene landscapes of Tasmania, inspiring your writing and artwork with its unique characteristics and captivating charm. Explore the full breadth of the Tasmania collection, each ink telling a unique story of Tasmania's natural wonders.
