Dollarbird

The Dollarbird is found in many Asian landscapes. In China, it breeds mainly in the east and south of the country.

He is as others of his species a real aerial acrobat. The unusual name comes from the silvery pale blue round spots on its wings, which mirror old dollar coins. From throat over belly to his tail he has shiny light turquoise feathers.
