Inspired by fieldwork in Tainan’s Kabusua tribe, the design draws on the Siraya water motif—ripples symbolizing women’s role in protecting family and culture, flowing lines like bloodlines and memories. Wide case holds 10 pens, with firm dividers and zipper to keep them secure.
Ripples spreading outward carry the strength of women protecting family and culture; lines interwoven carry the unfolding of blood and memory.
This fabric is woven with oyster shell-blended yarn, transforming what would otherwise be discarded natural oyster shells into fine fibers through innovative recycling techniques. This process not only reduces resource waste but also gives the material a renewed life. The natural mineral properties imbue the fabric with a distinctive texture and durability, embodying the principles of eco-friendly regeneration and sustainable design—so that each use becomes a heartfelt gesture toward protecting our oceans and our planet.
It can be used to store various tool like watercolor pencils, markers, polychromes, eraser, sharpener or cosmetic brush and could also apply to ordinary pencils at school and art galleries
