The old model was difficult to sew and had specifications that made it difficult to produce a consistent finish (all products for sale are in good condition). 

The new model is easier to sew and the magnets are more stable in position, so there is less variation in the finished product.

The strength of the magnet is the same in both cases.

The new and old specifications are mixed, and you cannot choose one.
